Nursing Home Defense
Craig & Craig, LLC has a long history of successfully defending nursing home facilities throughout Central and Southern Illinois against claims arising under the Nursing Home Care Act. The firm successfully argued to the Illinois Supreme Court that a change in the Statute in 1995 eliminating treble damages was applicable to pending litigation. Dardeen v. Heartland Manor, Inc., 297 Ill. App. 3d 684 (4th Dist., 1998), affirmed 186 Ill. 2d 291 (1999). In September, 2007, Gregory C. Ray obtained a defense jury verdict in a two week trial involving claims of multiple injuries arising under the Nursing Home Care Act and claims for wrongful death arising under the Wrongful Death Act.
